Akenside, an 18th-century physician, poet and didact, achieved success but tended to confound his contemporaries (see Wikipedia). Dyer, a Welsh priest, painter and poet, is possibly best know for the poem "The Fleece," which is printed here.Condition of this book:Gilt edges speckled, front hinge cracked, light foxing to illustration, overall very good.
