Full Leather. Condition: As New. Reprint Limited to 500 Copies. 375 pp, ill, fold out map, all edges gilt. Sporting adventures and travel in Chinese Tartary, Ladac, Thibet, Cashmere, &c. From 1846 to 1852 the author hunted throughout the Tibet and the Himalayas. He pursued ibex, markhor and Tibetan argali. His book is considered perhaps the first one written on hunting in the Himalayas (1852). Good reading and an important Asian hunting book. As new in like new orig slipcase.

Hard Cover. Condition: Good. Large 8vo.1854. 375pp. Folding map + 8 litho plates. (some marginal foxing to plates). Browning to fore-edges. Good. Bound in half calf gt and marbled paper-covered boards. Light fading to spine and top edges of boards. Good and gilt bright. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Leatherbound. Condition: Near fine. Limited reprint. #228 of 500 copies bound in light brown leather shows gilt letter and decoration to covers, gilt page edges, ribbon marker and decorative endpapers is near fine with just a trace of wear in cloth slipcase that is near fine as well. 375 pages illustrated. Nice copy of this popular hunting title that makes up an edition in the John Culler Asian Series.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. First. Green cloth boards were rebacked at some point but retained gilt stamped illustrated spine. Cloth is sunned to brown though and there is some dampstaining along the top edges. Front board illustrated with gilt stamped image of an ibex. Interior is clean save for previous owner's name on the the title page and a book plate on the inside front board. all 8 lithographs and folding map present and well preserved. All woodcut illustrations are intact as well.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 4to (6½" x 10¼"), pp. 375. A handsome copy in original green cloth, boards elaborately decorated. Illustrated with frontispiece and 7 lithographic plates after E.F. Campbell, each protected by tissue guards. Additionally contains a folding map and 15 wood-engraved illustrations throughout the text. Condition is Good or better, spine faded as is top edge of covers; rear hinge showing webbing but feels tight still; text and plates have varying degrees of foxing, mainly marginal.
