The pages are in very good condition. See pictures.Prof. Mars Schmit was born in Pfaffenthal, a picturesque suburb of Luxembourg, in 1931. He studied in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany and the USA. He devoted himself to painting and teaching very good arts. Through indefatigable travelling all over the world, he has managed to see beneath appearances and to find the heart of landscape. His work over the ears has embraced on-the-ground landscape and figurative subjects as well as more airborne abstractions. His oils and watercolours have been shown in galleries and exhibitions throughout the world: Paris, Rome, Grosseto Salzburg, Brussels, Luxembourg, Munich, Frankfort, Cologne, Toronto, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Oxford and Middletown (Ohio), New York and Peking.Besides other prizes he won the Golden Medal of the Academia Tiberina in Rome, of which he is an academic member. The former USA President Johnson bought one of this paintings for his private collection.
