Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Green textured cloth w/dark green lettering. Hint of edgewear. Text is clean and white, no marks. "This is the story of an immigrant's struggle for success in the United States. There is little attempt at literary style or polish; the novel, in harmony with the theme, is somewhat crude at times, but there is a sincerity and intensity in the approach and treatment which gives the story the flavor of honesty, of reality, and of power which is usually effective." (from the foreward).
