    Condition: Very Good. 8vo. pp. [i] contents, [iii] blank, 11 recto only, [106] blank.Original beige cloth marbled edges additional royal blue cloth cloose over with silver penguin at foot of spine handwritten paper label on upper cover. Cover on handwritten label reads ' Poems. Major Anthony Marsh M.C. Killed in Battle Italy / 24 October 1944.' Signed on fep by the author and dated '27. Sept. 37.' The contents include eight handwritten poems some written from Heath End House and others from Riverdale, Southsea, all but one are dated 1937. Major Thomas Anthony Marsh M.C. served with the Lancashire Fusiliers he died in 24 October 1944 and is buried in Cesena War Cemetery in Italy. Robert Bosch GMBH Stuttgart printed and stamped card receipt and two identical Winzergenossenschaft (a wine co-operative) Kremser Jungfrau wine labels loosely inserted. Upper joint and corners a little rubbed, otherwise very good indeed. Slight rubbing, otherwise very good indeed. Signedes.
