The night shift in the community bakery begins around midnight. By morning, when Claudia opens the bakery for sale, pounds and pounds of fresh bread, cookies and pastries adorn the display shelves. Customers from the neighborhood come to buy facturas (pastries) that elsewhere they couldn't afford.
