Condition is GOOD+ ; covers clean but rubbed and a bit toned. Corners quite worn, rounded. Spine ends frayed.Front inner hinge has started, with the muslin visible. A few areas pulled away there from the endpapers. Binding holding well and the text & illustrations are bright and unmarked. Text in German. Children's. RGR.

The book features lithographic illustrations by Thoma and text by Mathilde Coester-Cassel. Inscription reads: "Dear grandchild for [your] birthday" followed by the signature "Grandmother Boos". Book shows wear and some moisture stains on the covers and some pages.

Der Einband ist etwas berieben, gering fleckig, Ecken und Kanten teils bestoßen, der schmale Einbandrücken zu den Kapitalen hin etwas angeplatzt, Bindung defekt, innen Seiten meist lose. Die Seiten mit den schönen chromolithographierten Abbildungen teils gering fleckig oder fingerfleckig, teils mit Randläsionen bzw. angerändert. The pages with the beautiful chromolithographed illustrations are partly slightly stained or finger-stained, partly with marginal lesions or altered. La reliure est frottée et légèrement tachée; les coins et les bords sont parfois émoussés; le dos, étroit, est légèrement fendu en tête et en pied; la reliure présente des défauts; la plupart des pages sont détachées à l'intérieur. Les pages ornées de magnifiques illustrations en chromolithographie sont par endroits légèrement tachées ou empreintes de doigts; certaines présentent des déchirures ou des bords effilochés.
