1st edition orig. cloth Nice Copy tall octavo. 220pp., frontis., A British Army officer's account of WWII in Norway and the Western desert; also author's account of the origins of WWII includes a chapter on Spain. A well-connected journalist; in 1933 he met with Krupskaya; later, with Goering. In 1935 Halton's warnings that the Nazis were anti-Christian, and that they were manufacturing tanks armed with 75mm cannon, were derided as "sensationalist". Fascinating account.
