Condition: Good. 1952. First Edition. 351 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with black lettering to spine. Binding remains firm. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Light tanning and moderate foxing to pastedowns and endpapers. Front endpaper is missing, with associated light cracking to front inner hinge. Boards have moderate edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends. Uneven moderate fading to cloth. Light bowing to boards. Bumping to corners. Moderate tanning and foxing to textblock.

Original Cloth. Condition: Good. First Edition. Signed and dated author dedication to a friend on the front free endpaper. Red boards have some bumping and edge wear with two small closed tears to the top of the spine. There is some fading to the spine and a few light surface marks to the front and rear panels. Page edges are browned and there is some browning and spotting to the endpapers. Light tearing along the hinge at the rear endpapers. Pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket although a small piece with the author biography is laid in at the front of the book First printing. Signed by Author(s).
