He additionally worked for several film studios, including Warner Brothers, Columbia and Universal. He photographed numerous stars including James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman, Debbie Reynolds, Natalie Wood, Henry Fonda, John Wayne, Janis Paige and Doris Day.
