Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First edition. Preface by Helen Halsey. 16mo. [60]pp. Beige linen over boards. A fine copy. Limited to 300 numbered copies printed by hand by Harry Duncan, Katharine Frazier, and Jane Ward, the Staff of the Cummington Press. On August 1, 1859, the bark Columbia sailed from Sag Harbor, Long Island, on what was to be its final whaling voyage.". Text includes letters to, and from, James McCorkle, the Captain of the whaling ship, who was of Scotch-Irish descent. A nice copy.
