Original publisher's brown morocco over beveled boards, gilt lettering & decoration on spine, paneled in gilt ruling on covers, gilt inner dentelles, a.e.g., marbled endpapers (minor bumping & wear to corners, some rubbing, edgewear, rebacked with original spine laid back down), still a VG copy, from the library of Thea Foss (1857-1927) of Foss Launch & Tug Company, later Foss Maritime -- who served as the inspiration for the story and Tugboat Annie movie based on her life. First edition of this invaluable maritime history in the Pacific Northwest, with an excellent index and lavishly illustrated. Howes, W963.
