Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. First Edition (?). Tanning/spotting to text block edge, ffep missing, bright red bds have wear, side tears and fade blocks to spine ends, bottom corners worn and gently bumped, very occasional internal spotting, dw has surface soiling - mainly to rear cover, loss to some edges, wear, tears, chips to extrmeties. ****Reading copy. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 190 pages.

Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No date, code CF/21/663. 190 pages, coloured frontispiece by Savile Lumley. Three-line Christmas greeting (dated 1938) on the front flyleaf. Prelims, endpages and edges lighlty foxed. Decorative red cloth boards with a battleship on the front board and an officer on the spine. The boards are very lightly flecked with three spots on the spine. An attractive copy. Size: 8vo.

Card cover (hardcover). Condition: Good. First Edition. No printing date on the book but probably mid 1930s. Believed to be a first edition but bibliographic information about McKeag's work is hard to come by. Contains the novel The Man from the Gallows and a short story Criminal Gratitude. The boards have damage to the outer edges of the front and rear panels where the surface has been worn off with the card exposed in a few places. A little wear around the top and bottom of the spine also. Spotting to the insides of the covers. Pages browned but otherwise unmarked. No jacket.

A little minor edge wear to boards. The dustjacket has a 3cm loss to top of spine area and some small closed tears and creases to edges.

Original red cloth with black lettering on the spine and News of The World advert on the rear, boards are firm and solid just rubbed slightly and faded on the spine. 254 unmarked pages with no inscriptions just toned with time usual adverts on opening pages.
