Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. No Jacket. McNutt, Charles; Austin, Neil; Hunt, Roy (illustrator). First Edition First Printing. Collection of 6 stories orig. published 1940-1943, appearing here in book form for the first time. This is a FIRST EDITION, First State, from 1948, with blue cloth-covered boards lettered in somewhat dulled gilt to spine. In 141 pages, with all 6 plates by illustrators Charles McNutt, Neil, Austin, & Roy Hunt are intact (omitted from subsequent editions). Condition is Near Fine: completely clean, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white with modest tanning, but unmarked. Corners & spine tips lightly bumped. No DJ (missing).
