Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Brown cloth covers with gold lettering and bands on spine which is faded and soiled. Covers exhibit heavy wear, fraying and soiling to corners and spine ends. Moderate wear, soiling and bumping to edges. Heavy shelf wear and soiling to covers and spine. Inside has been recased with new inside front and back covers, ffep's and bfep's. Hinges are tight. Heavy soiling and yellowing to page ends. Previous owners signature with a inscription on where to return the book if lost on one of the bfep's that has not been replaced. Text and the many b&w illustrations many of them full page are yellowed due to age with light soiling on edges. Many pages of very interesting advertising in the back of the book. Chapters detailing the history of the locomotive, modern locomotives with chapters detailing the various parts of the locomotive and how to repair them. All books are individually examined and described. Never ex-lib unless stated.
