First edition. Octavo. Brown cloth stamped in gilt; floral endpapers; 136 pp. An about Fine copy with some faint stains to rear board. The author graduated from Harvard Divinity School and was an ordained minister before abandoning traditional Christian theism "to look no further than nature for the basis of religious thought." Only nine copies found institutionally via WorldCat; a handful of copies in commerce, but most ex-library. This is certainly the finest copy we've seen.
