Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Octodecimo. 4.25 x 6 in. 31 pp. Very good in the original wrappers, with only minor edge wear and a stain at the top edge has bled lightly into the pages. Text in German. Inscribed by Mehler on the title page, and dated November 1937. Mehler was a German Jewish author best known for her children's books. This collection of poems was first published in 1937, just a few years before she was imprisoned by the Nazi government at Sobibor extermination camp and murdered in July 1943. Signed.
