Book is VG minus with minor shelfwear; o/w clean and tight; DJ is good with minor edgewear and one very small chip at top of flap crease at front; rare signed copy, There is a gold sticker on the DJ announcing Dejong's award for contributions to children's literature in 1962; illustrated by Maurice Sendak years before he hit it big with Where the Wild Things Are. Note: I just acquired eleven signed Sendak and am seeking a collector who is interested. They are: Where the Wild Things Are, Hurry Home Candy, Hector Protector And As I Went Over The Water, Very Far Away, A Very Special House, The Wonderful Farm, Shadrach, In The Night Kitchen, Seven Tales, and Nutcracker.
