The poet interviews the poets Ferlinghetti, Rexroth, Lew Welch, Michael McClure, Richard Brautigan, William Everson talking about their lives and their work including excellent choices and bibliography, bookstores, a San Francisco Poet chronology including the wonderful cast of characters over the years plus what Meltzer terms Lew Welch "courses "--putting together a reading list of books available by "men whose names were mentioned and discussed during the interviews. It makes a map of culture and you can use it as you like. Any of the roads lead ahead." Near fine and bright wraps with strong spine and clean text throughout, quite attractive. No cloth copy was released.
