REPRINT THIRD EDITION quarto hardcover (VG); all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Ordering more than one book will reduce your overall postage costs.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Original publisher's illustrated cloth boards. Binding a little shaken but holding sturdy, clean unmarked interior. Covers bright with edge wear. Profusely illustrated with full page color and black and white plates as well as a large fold-out map. Beware the modern reprints, the illustrations are inferior reproductions and they do not have the fold-out map.

Hardback. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Quarto Size [approx 22x28cm]. Very Good condition - very minor nick to top edge of front board. Colour inlay to front panel and gilt title to spine. Pages tanned [as usual]. Illustrated with Colour frontispiece and Black and White Photographs & drawings. This edition is a first edition but not the very first printing as it has the correct date on the plate opposite page 4. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 170 pages.

Soft cover. Condition: Poor. Book lacks spine and covers (for purposes of description, first page, or title page, and last page, will be described as if they were the covers). Staples in binding are rusting. 200mm tear along front cover (from bottom edge). 50mm tear in back cover. Some smaller tears and creases along edges of both covers. Covers, edges and multiple pages foxed and stained. Pages thumbed and browned, some creased. Stamps on some pages "Sydney Press Club". Last pages (161-164) detached. Book is heavily worn, in poor condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound.

First edition in the very scarce first state with the error date - 15th rather than 25th April ! - on plate at page 4 and the 'Trojan Horse' attributed to J.J. Wareham.
