Herborn Nassoviorum ( Herborn ), ( Christoph Rab ) , 1594 , in-8°, (20)nn pp + 846 pp ( complete), bound in full overlapping vellum with traces of green silk ties. Both covers with black colored decorations, all edges gilt and chiselled. Binding a bit soiled but still a fine/good copy. Interior with some minor stains, as usual, title page dustsoiled and with a slightly frayed outer margin, also with a manuscript ex-libris in ink, dated 1640. USTC Nr. 700438 - VD16 C 2802. The author Chytraeus (Greek for his German name '' Kochhafe '') composed here a collection of inscriptions, epithaphs etc. which he collected during his travels in Western Europe. He became dean of the Bremen Gymnasium in 1593.
