On Franklin Booth: Franklin Booth (1874-1948) is considered by many to be one of the most important talents in the field of illustration. Booth was self-taught and developed his own intricate fine-line pen & ink style, the envy of his contemporaries and of illustrators today. His artwork for advertisements, articles, poems, stories and bookplates appeared regularly in Cosmopolitan, Harper's and Good Housekeeping and nearly every other major magazine circa 1905-1935.
