Guinand by F. Wagner. Throughout wet edges, towards the end slightly fainter. Rare specimen. Conrad Meyer-Ahrens (1813 - 1872): Schweizer Arzt und Medizinhistoriker. In der Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin öffentlich verteidigte medizinische Dissertation aus dem Gebiet der pathologischen Anatomie: über die verschiedenen Arten unnatürlicher Knochenrisse bzw. -spalten bei Mensch und Tier, z.B. in der Eustachischen Röhre des Ohres. Für eine Doktorarbeit ungewöhnlich aufwendig hergestellt: großzügiger Druck in Folioformat und mit 4 Kupfern (Demonstrationen an einem Schafskopf) sowie gedruckter Widmung an seinen Lehrer Johannes Müller. --- Der aus Zürich gebürtige Autor nur mit obigem Titel bei Callisen XXX, 888 incl. einigen Rezensionen; Hirsch, S.223. -- Conrad Meyer-Ahrens (1813 - 1872): Swiss physician and medical historian.
