Oblong elephant folio, 17 x 22.5 inches, which consist of a title sheet, colophon and 20 offset lithographs from photographs, loose as issued, all contained in a cloth box of tray and lid with a mounted illustrated offset photographic plate. Two corners of the box are torn; otherwise fine. Michael Becotte, born in 1945, received his MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York. He is a Professor Emeritus of Photography at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. His work is in the collections of the James A. Michener Museum of Art, National Museum of American Art and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others. He has been awarded two Individual Artists Fellowships from the NEA and two Individual Artists Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts. In this portfolio, Becotte took his camera with stroboscopic flash out into the night, painting trees and objects in the landscape with an eerie glow. Becotte designed and printed these three impression offset plates with 300 line screens on Warrens Cameo Dull paper. The typography was designed by Diane Becotte and the cases were executed by Jesse Jones. Limited to 100 copies, each SIGNED and numbered by the photographer.
