Drawing inspiration from the Celtic tradition, the author delves into themes of nature, spirituality, and the human condition. The poems are rich in vivid imagery and symbolism. They capture the essence of the natural world, the beauty of the human form, and the bittersweet nature of existence. With its lyrical language and haunting melodies, this book invites the reader to embark on a journey of self-discovery and reflection. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. During the 1916 Easter Rising, a chance meeting with another young woman, Estella Solomons, who was sheltering from snipers' bullets on Mount Street Bridge led to a lifelong friendship. Together Kathleen & Estella enlisted in Cumann na mBán, where they were taught first aid, drilling and signalling by Phyllis Ryan, later to become the wife of President Sean T. O'Kelly. Ref: Mayo County Library / Irish Museums Association. The only book of poems published in her lifetime, a small collection issued in 1918 entitled Leaves on the Wind.
