Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Duckworth, London 1902. Presumed First Edition.@this series of papers appeared in 'The Pilot' and is now republished by permission of the Editor.' Book condition: very good. Owners signature, address and Date: May 1902 on pre-title page. No Dustcover. Some bumping at corners, some foxing near front and back pagese. Otherwise in remarkably good contition. The book is a series of meditations on life and purpose, recounted by a roadmender. The book was extremely popular in the early 20th century, and went through many different editions, but this does appear to be a genuine first edition.
