Final script for the 1961 British film comedy. With revisions on pink stock bound in throughout, and manuscript ink annotations (mostly scene deletions) on numerous pages. Also laid in are 16 pages of revisions on goldenrod stock, accompanied by an advisory letter on Shepperton Studios stationery, date stamped 12 January 1961. Bookkeeper George Summers (Glenn Melvyn) opts to marry one more time after his first wife leaves him. Unfortunately, his ex-wife's harridan mother-in-law (Marjorie Rhodes) does not leave with her daughter. Now the new wife and the old mother-in-law are at loggerheads-not a recipe for the beginning of a successful marriage. Deep blue titled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated January 4, 1961, noted as FINAL SCRIPT, with credits for screenwriter Player and playwright Deering (assumed erroneously, as Deering was an actor in the film and the playright was Rex Howard Arundel). 144 leaves, mechanical duplication, with pink undated revision pages throughout and goldenrod revision pages laid in, dated 9th January 1961. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine bound internally with three silver brads.
