Vintage invitation to a one-night preview event of an exhibition in honor of Andy Warhol, sponsored by art gallery Kass/Meridian and held at The Limelight in Chicago on February 25, 1988. The Limelight was founded in the 1970s in Hallandale, Florida, by Canadian promoter Peter Gatien. After a large fire, the nightclub relocated to Atlanta in 1980, where it became a gathering place for celebrities and people of note, and hosted several "Interview" magazine events. Gatien and his brother opened a second Limelight location in New York in 1983, and a third in Chicago in 1985. The Chicago location would become Excalibur nightclub four years later, in 1989. In addition to works by Warhol, the event also advertises works by former "Interview" editor Ronnie Cutrone, who served as Warhol's assistant at the Factory, and book signings by Michael McKenzie, author of "New, Used, and Improved Art for the 80's." 11 x 7 inches, folded twice.
