DJ is scuffed and worn numerous chips and tears present along edges and corners. Both the book and dust jacket would grade much higher but… there is staining present, although limited to the underside of the DJ, exterior cloth, and the front and rear pastedowns and opposite end pages. The underside of the jacket shows staining around the spine area which has lifted the blue color. The blue cloth on the spine is also heavily spotted stained, as shown in the photo. The interior binding is actually very good and pages are tight. There is no handwriting, no bookmarks, no signatures, no library markings etc. Both pastedowns show brown stains which is also present to a lesser degree on the opposite end pages. This spotting issue is only in these areas - the remaining pages are fine. It appears this moisture damage was done many, many decades ago. The book has no odor or mustiness, the pages are nice and straight. The rear of the dust jacket shows as seen from the film ANA-TA-HAN, which is based on the book. Excellent copy for reading purposes, not so much for collectible purposes.
