Vintage black-and-white still photograph from the 1950 film. Distributor rubber-stamp and blindstamp on the verso. Based on an original story by Horace McCoy, about a runaway orphan who becomes a champion roller-skater, and the women he meets along the way. Mickey Rooney stars as the orphan, and Marilyn Monroe has a small role as one of his romances. 8 x 10 inches. Light corner creases, else Near Fine.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dustjacket. First Edition. ISBN . B0006XLTIS Hardback. First Printing. No Dustjacket as probably issued, bound in plain blue covers. Scarce hardback printed for Micket McCoys class in getting jobs in the airline industry. Personal inscription from the author on ther front inside cover to a former student along with another inscription from what looks like a fellow classmate to the previous owner. Laid in loose is a printed form letter to the soon to be attending students outlining the course from the author as well as a newspaper clipping from the authors wedding. There is a bit of a musty odor to ther book, Otherwise book is a Tight sound unmarked copy in with very minimal wear. A very nice copy of a scarce book except for bit of a musty odor. No Signature.
