    SIGNED BY AUTHOR with DEDICATION dated 18.6.47. Joseph Milbauer was a well-known poet and director of the department for French publications of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. He was born in Poland and lived in Paris for many years, where he published seven volumes of his own poetry in French and an anthology of famous Jewish poets whose works he translated into French. For 13 years he edited the French-Jewish weekly "L`Universe". He was imprisoned by the Nazis during World War II but escaped and settled in Israel in 1944, where he published this book. 140x170mm. 51 pages. Softcover. Cover rubbed. Il est né en Pologne et a vécu à Paris pendant de nombreuses années, où il a publié sept volumes de ses propres poèmes en français et une anthologie de poètes juifs célèbres dont il a traduit les oeuvres en français. Pendant 13 ans, il a dirigé l'hebdomadaire franco-juif « L'Univers ». Il a été emprisonné par les nazis pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, mais s'est échappé et s'est installé en Israël en 1944, où il a publié ce livre.

En plus il y a une dédicace autographe de J. Milbauer :'' à Georges Marlow, hommage, 10-6-1919.''. Bon état. Très rare publication de Joseph Milbauer, probablement le frère de Samuel Milbauer (né à Varsovie en 1893). En total 2 cahiers furent publiés, dont ceci est le premier. (Seulement un exemplaire connu dans la Bibliothèque National d'Israël). Peu après cette publication Joseph et Samuel ont quitté Bruxelles pour Paris.
