Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the life and work of one of the most influential composers of the 19th century, Richard Wagner. The author delves into Wagner's complex personality and artistic vision, examining his revolutionary ideas about music and theater, as well as his controversial personal l…ife. Through a comprehensive analysis of Wagner's major works, the book sheds light on his unique approach to harmony, orchestration, and musical drama. It traces the evolution of his style from his early romantic operas to his groundbreaking concept of Gesamtkunstwerk, which aimed to fuse all elements of art into a single, immersive experience. By setting Wagner's work within the broader context of 19th-century music and culture, the author provides a fascinating glimpse into the social and intellectual forces that shaped one of the most important figures in Western classical music. Wagner's legacy continues to resonate today, and this book offers a fresh perspective on his enduring impact on the art form. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
