First Edition
Cfr. Raffaele Aurini in Dizionario bibliografico della gente d'Abruzzo, 2002, IV, pp.187-221. Mazzoni, cit. (con bibliografia essenziale).

In a tradition with deep roots in Mediterranean culture, and more recently in the successful careers of performing poets of the turn of the century, Giannina Milli took to the stage reciting improvised poetry to audience suggestions. The principal themes of her inspiration were patriotism, revolution against occupying powers, and the unification of Italy. She was deeply involved in the intellectual life of the nation, as shown by her thousands of surviving letters (at the National Library of Florence) and photographs.
