Bound in contemporary full leather binding with gilt horizontal lines across the spine, along with two additional titles both in Welsh: "DRYCH YR AMSEROEDD" by Robert Jones, published in Llanrwst, Wales by Hugh Jones and "TRUGAREDD A BARN," also published by Hugh Jones in Llanrwst, Wales. (The first Welsh title is a description of the Methodist revival in Wales, has no date of publication but its preface is dated 1820; the second Welsh title shares the same publisher, a Welsh Anglican clergyman who was rector of Llanruwst so it too presumably has religious theme and appears contemporary to the first. Pagination for the three titles is 60+(xvi)+224+(vi)+144. Polished contemporary calf with some separation of the leather along the front joint although the board is holding solidly; the leather itself is very well preserved and has only very minimal wear. The rear joint has separated along the bottom inch or so, is very solid otherwise. The corner of one front free end paper has been separated but is present, could be easily repaired. There is occasional foxing, particularly to the bottom of the first title page. Neat owner name on front free end paper.
