Second edition, Revised. Hardcover. Original red cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Some light soiling and marks on the boards, with a one inch square piece of professional restoration at the head of the spine (with the loss of "The" in the gilt title), endpapers naturally embrowned and a little foxed, a couple ownership signatures on the prelims, otherwise very good in an added archival jacket for this copy. An important publication on the geology of Sydney and environs, with two maps (one a large fold-out at the back, with a small closed tear) and 83 b/w illustrations, diagrams and photographs. Uncommon in the original cloth binding, whose integrity has been saved by careful restoration (instead of more usual re-backing or rebinding in leather). …

Sporadic marginal annotations by a former owner, with several additional printed ephemeral items and notes tipped in. Contents in good order. A 'Very Good' copy.
