Each brochure features a one-page biography in Italian and a full-page black-and-white photograph of each actress. Actresses represented are Sylvana Mangano, Isa Miranda, Annamaria Gerrero, Yvonne Sanson, Alida Valli, Delia Scala, Ingrid Bergman, Silvana Pampanini, Lea Padovani, Lucia Bose, Eleanora Rossi, Gina Lollobrigida, Carla Del Poggio, and Anna Magnani. 11 x 14.25 inches, folded once vertically as issued, with a company statement on the verso. Very Good plus overall, some with light toning and foxing, and a few with short tears.

Seven original black-and-white photographs from the 1957 French film, here under the original French title, "Une manche et la belle." Henri Vidal and Isa Miranda are seen in most, and in two with Demongeot in the background. All with numerical annotations in manuscript pencil, three with blue rubber-stamps (Victorine), and one with French film titles in manuscript pencil on the versos. Housed in a French Kodak photo paper box. Noirish murder drama loosely based on Chase's novel "The Sucker Punch" (1954). Betty Farnwell (Miranda) is a rich widow living in Nice with a bewitching daughter, Eva (Demongeot). Betty marries Philippe (Vidal), a good-looking but self-interested man. Cue Eva. Philippe falls for the calculating, femme fatale, who has plans to marry someone else. Betty's life is in danger as Philippe struggles with his transgressions. Photographs 5 x 7 inches. Near Fine, with slight curling and light foxing, box Very Good overall.

Collection of eleven vintage borderless lobby cards for the French release of the 1974 Italian film. From the collection of artist and author Duncan Hannah. Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A lawyer agrees to marry a teenage girl with an intellectual disability in order to access her wealthy mother's properties, planning to have the girl kidnapped after the marriage, only to find himself falling in love with her. 11.5 x 9.75 inches. [1940-41] Buon esemplare (lievi tracce d'uso e tracce di attaccatura al dorso). Ritratto fotografico a stampa con autografo in calce: "Isa Miranda". 10,2 x 14,7 cm. Buon esemplare (lievi tracce d'uso e tracce di attaccatura al dorso).
"Vera fotografia" (cm.10,5x15) prodotta dalla ditta "Alterocca -Terni" nel 1941, raffigurante un intenso ritratto con autografo. Al retro della cartolina, non viaggiata, si intravvede la traccia a matita: "Isa Miranda Via Angela Merici Roma ed Il nome (o la firma) del marito dell'attrice, il produttore Alfredo Guarini (forse l'appunto di un ammiratore o forse di pugno dello stesso Guarini). Ottima copia. Fu negli anni Trenta la prima diva di classe internazionale: nel biennio 1934-'35 due pellicole ("La signora di tutti" di M. Ophüls e "Passaporto rosso" di G. Brignone) la lanciarono sul mercato straniero, prima con film in doppia versione italo-tedesca e poi, nel 1937-'39 facendola approdare ad Hollywood dove interpreterà due pellicole di scarso successo, anche perché gli agenti delle Majors cercheranno di vendere la sua immagine facendo leva sulla rassomiglianza con la divina Marlene Dietrich. Al suo rientro in patria, nonostante l'ostracismo del Minculpop, nel 1942 riesce ad ottenere il ruolo di protagonista in due capolavori del realismo calligrafico: "Malombra" di M. Soldati e "Zazà" di R. Castellani, fornendo due prove magistrali. Nel dopoguerra il cinema non scorda il suo talento: da "Le mura di Malapaga" di R. Clement, accanto a J. Gabin (1949), a "La Ronde" di Ophüls (1950), a "Siamo donne" di L. Visconti (1953) prima di affrontare, saltuariamente, parti di caratterista: da "Gli sbandati" di F. Maselli (1954) a "Il portiere di notte" di L. Cavani (1974). Dal 1932 al 1960 è stata anche attiva come primattrice in teatro, recitando con successo in numerosi paesi.
