Copertina morbida. Condition: Buono. Prima edizione. XII, 191 p. : ill. ; 23 x 14 cm. Viaggi e avventure. …

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book details the author's exploration of Engano, an almost-unknown island off the coast of Sumatra. The book begins with the author's trip to Lake Toba, then moves on to his arrival on Engano. The author provides a rich ethnographic description of the Enganoan people, covering their appearance, customs, religion, their weapons, and many other facets of life on the island. With Engano being isolated from the rest of the world until very recently, this book provides a unique historical record of the Enganoan people before the arrival of modern civilization. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
