Architekturbiennale in Venedig konzipiert und gestaltet wurde, verwandelte sich der russische Pavillon in eine Eisenbahnstation mit fünf Hallen: ğThe Geography of Free SpaceĞ, ğThe Architectural DepotĞ, ğThe Waiting Hall of the FutureĞ, ğThe Crypt of MemoriesĞ und ğAboard the Free SpaceĞ. In diesen fünf Hallen setzen zeitgenössische russische Architekten, Designer und Künstler Klang- und Multimediainstallationen sowie Fotografien, Modelle und Artefakte ein, um die Vergangenheit des Netzwerkes zu untersuchen und ihre Visionen für seine Zukunft zu präsentieren. Der Schwerpunkt der Ausstellung und des begleitenden Kataloges stellt eine Parallele zur Geschichte des russischen Pavillons selbst dar, der 1914 eingeweiht wurde. Denn der Planer des Gebäudes, Alexiy Schtschussew, zeichnete auch für den Kasaner Bahnhof verantwortlich - die Endstation der Transsibirischen Eisenbahn in Moskau. (Text engl.) 464 pp. Englisch.
