Condition: Nuevo. Mompou nos dejó documentación escrita muy diversa que nos habla, entre otros aspectos, de conceptos filosóficos y de sus opiniones hacia la música y el arte. Entre sus escritos de juventud hay una recopilación manuscrita de ideas con el título El Estudio del sentimiento -para la interpretación al piano- y otro…llamado Pensamientos III, el cual incluye también las mismas reflexiones sobre la interpretación, siendo una síntesis corregida de la anterior. Los redactados y algunos contenidos de estos documentos fueron reescritos en varias ocasiones por el mismo Mompou, para expresarse mejor o añadir nuevas ideas. Pero en realidad no existe un documento definitivo, completamente estructurado y acabado. Su esposa Carmen Bravo transcribió al castellano parte de estos textos en folios mecanografiados que conserva la Fundación Mompou. En el libro Federico Mompou, Vida, textos y documentos, Clara Janés nos ofrece un magnífico y poético texto que va más allá de una biografía descriptiva, a la vez que reproduce El Estudio del sentimiento, título que fue modificado por el mismo compositor con el nombre de La Expresión -para la interpretación al piano-. Esta recopilación también está mecanografiada y contiene correcciones a mano sobre el mismo texto. Podríamos considerarlo el último, ya que habría tenido el visto bueno tanto del compositor como de su esposa Carmen Bravo en el momento de su preparación y edición del año 1987. En cuanto a la opinión de Mompou hacia la música y el arte, el presente cuaderno recoge dos escritos significativos: por un lado, el artículo El momento actual publicado en la Revista Música el día 1 de octubre de 1945, en el cual hace un análisis de la situación de la música en general, defendiendo el lirismo y el expresionismo ante la intelectualidad musical; por la otra, su discurso de ingreso en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Jorge leído en 1952, Música Callada, en el que, siguiendo la línea del escrito anterior, hace una.
