Leather bound. Complete four volume set bound in original black leather. Former owner names stamped on preliminary pages but the main text is clean, complete, and unmarked. Each volume contains ribbon page markers. Four volumes: HIEMALIS, VERNA, AESTIVA, and AUTUMNALIS. The first volume (HIEMALIS) is from 1933 with ecclesiatical approbations from 1933. VERNA and AUTUMNALIS were published in 1953 with ecclesiastical approbations from 1952 and 1953. AESTIVA was printed in 1939 with approval in 1938 and 1939. Although the dates vary, the Monastic Breviary was much more fixed than the Roman Breviary and all volumes use the Vulgate Psalter. Despite the differing years, this is a complete, functional Breviarium Monasticum which predates the liturgical changes of the Second Vatican Council.
