Struttura bellissima. chiusa, poi riaperta, poi abbandonata, poi richiusa, che ospita l'acquario più antico d'Europa, di vetro e legno, fondato nel 1872 dal naturalista e zoologo tedesco Anton Dohrn. Ha ospitato anche il Turtle point, ospedale e centro di rec…upero per le tartarughe dell'area di Bagnoli nonché centro espositivo. Era davvero splendido! Che tristezza il suo abbandono! Naturalmente il giudizio pessimo non è rivolto all'Acquario che ho visitato tante volte all'epoca d'oro, in cui era uno dei migliori d'Europa. Oggi l'acquario non esiste più. È vero che una simile struttura non potrebbe competere con i moderni acquari, che sono costruiti con mezzi e investimenti che forse la nostra città non possiede : ma distruggerlo così è inaudito.
