Internally no owner's marks, very faintly foxed prelims, else contents about as new. Has had some uncut pages, some badly cut, with result of tornout edge to group of 3 pages towards back. "Former Days" contains chapters on the Beginnings of Opera, the First Opera Played in Paris - Luigi Rossi's Orfeo, Notes on Lully, Gretry, Gluck, and Mozart. The "Shakespeare", with some introductory discourse, collects the music in Shakespeare by play, with appendices and illustration of instruments. 730g, overseas postage would require addition.
