This book presents a collection of sermons delivered by Ãlie-Benoît Ebelmen, Bishop of Belley, during notable religious events in the 18th century. Centering on the overarching themes of humility and the glory of God, these homilies explore the intersection of Christian principles and the grandeur of the human condition. Ebelmen's words paint a vivid picture of the era's religious landscape, capturing the hopes, fears, and aspirations of believers during a time of significant theological and societal change. Through eloquent prose and insightful commentary, this book offers a glimpse into the profound spiritual and intellectual currents shaping religious thought and practice in the 18th century. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. First Edition
