Boards (HB) in very good condition with fading to covers and light wear to edges. . 24 poems and two short plays by Moon Kwan, a native of China who attended USC in Los Angeles and UC Berkeley. Along the way he befriended Witter Bynner (to whom one of the poems…is addressed), and George Sterling (who wrote the introduction to the plays), among other members of the literati, and he worked as a technical advisor to D. W. Griffith on his film Broken Blossoms, or, The Yellow Man and the Girl. Kwan returned to Hong Kong in the 1930s, where he worked in the film industry. With an introduction by Manly Hall and another by George Sterling, who discusses Kwan's play "The Sword of Heaven.". 68 pages. What makes this copy especially interesting is, it includes a leaf painting in full color of a Chinese woman, as a bookmark. Probably dates to the 30s 0r 40s, artist unknown.
