Ex-library book with 2 ex-library stamps to the front end paper - from Dartington Hall. Three small ex-library numbers to the cloth at the tail of the spine Bound in quarter green cloth and paper covered boards. There are bumps to the head of the spine, all four corners and several bumps to the head of the front and rear boards, one bump with an assoicated split to the board for 0.5 cm in length. Some rubbing to the tail of the front board. There is an area of rubbing to the tail of the front end paper and a small stain with tide mark to the corner of the rear paste down and corner of the rear end paper, which has also affected the overlying rear board. Plate 9 has a horizontal stain to the reverse, not affecting the illustration in anyway. Includes a loosely inserted advertisement, most probably cut down from the original wrapper. The textblock and illustration plates are clean and tight. A good copy.

The tail of the spine has three small letters ex-library numbers to the spine. Bound in quarter blue cloth and paper covered boards. Bump to the head of the spine with some rubbing and damp staining to the head of the spine and adjacent margins on either side. Light bumps to the head of the spine and head of the front board. There is a large stain with tide mark to the lower corner of the front board , also affecting the front paste down. Another stain ( unrelated) to the front end paper. Scattered light foxing to the end papers and advertisement pages at the rear of the book. Slight nik to plate 47 - the textblock and illustrations are otherwise clean and tight.
