Light shelf-wear and rubbing, with faint tanning to spine and edges of textblock; Very Good. Dustwrapper spine-tanned with chips to spine ends and corners, and tiny tears and creases along extremities; Very Good. Morrell's memoir describes the mistreatment of San Joaquin Valley ranchers and his experience as an accomplice to the Southern Pacific Railroad robbery with the Evans and Sontag gang alongside his experiences in prison, including his transfer and later release. Morrell was physically abused in prison and held in solitary confinement for five years, and later was an advocate for prison reform and the abolition of corporal punishment. Scarce in dustjacket.
