Superb collection of twenty essays by various authors: Darwin, Longhurst, Tolley, et al. A good example is the Chapter by Sir Guy Campbell on St. Andrews which includes the history of the impliments of the game. Interesting that in 1938 he writes of regularing clubs and balls to protect the integrity of the game's tradition and the length of the current links. Green linen cloth slightly faded, small spot rear cover. Light pastedown offset. No owner name, marks, underlining, soiling or bookplate. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
