Folded into 4 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches, approximately 4 inch tears at center upper and lower edges and on one of the side edges, several le…sser tears at intersections, 1/4 inch deep nicks and chips along top edge, lightly age tanned, but otherwise decent, clean and unmarked overall. Of particular interest is a plea for reconciliation with the South in the aftermath of the Civil War, account of two instances of African-American troops, including the "Colored Cavalry", on steamboats mutinying over being transported back South, a description of a visit to Narragansett, opening of the first Hebrew school in New York City, and the dedication of the monument.
