Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 96 pages, illus. Sadly, a poor copy of this scarce book. The spine indicates Dorset County Library and its library reference number, both printed together with title and author: thus it must have been either bound for the Library or rebound by them at some stage. Not dated, but presumed to be ca 1920s. Should have had eight colour illustrations but one is missing. Text aimed generally at the younger reader but nonetheless of interest as it contains much of colonial culture from early 20th century. Overall in very poor condition: covers marked, frayed, bumped, worn etc; library documentation stuck to front pastedown; some library stamps elsewhere; several pages slightly torn, marked, bent etc; some pages browned etc.
