Add to basketOriginal Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Second Edition. This is the second cheaper edition priced at 5/- and with a different jacket design. The first edition was priced at 7/6. The book has green boards and carries no indication that it was not a first printing so it may be that it was simply reissued with… a new jacket design at a lower price. There is a quarter inch strip of heavy fading along the bottom edge of the front panel and the spine with a little fading along the bottom of the rear panel. Similar strip of fading at the top of the spine. There are a few tiny dents in the bottom edges of the boards which are otherwise clean and unmarked. Light browning to page edges with a faint stain to the fore edges and two brown marks to the top edges. Light trace of a price in pencil to the front free endpaper which also has a little browning. The pages have light browning but are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has some fading to the red lettering on the panels on the spine which also has chipping at the top and bottom with some loss and some edge rubbing. The front panel has a half-inch closed tear to the top edge with another smaller closed tear to the bottom edge. Light chipping to the corners. Illustrated by D.L. Mays. First printing. Mays, D.L. (illustrator).

Hardback. Condition: New. There has been significant societal and global change in recent years with accompanying shifts in how older people are perceived by societies across the world. Different treatment and care possibilities are emerging but concerns about the implications of our longevity also continue to be raised. The val…ue of occupational therapy is greater than ever before, given its work across health and social care boundaries.Occupational Therapy with Older People Into the 21st Century demonstrates the ways in which occupational therapists can maximise this potential to the benefit of older people. Using best evidence as well as professional and personal perspectives, Mountain explores the realities of later life, ageing in place, the implication of the technological age, meeting needs for rehabilitation, revisiting and valuing the core principles of occupational therapy, and more.In contrast to other works in this space, Occupational Therapy with Older People Into the 21st Century appraises the totality of interdisciplinary evidence in light of policy and global and national trends, highlighting how evidence generated by other disciplines as well as that created by occupational therapists can be harnessed by the profession.
